Our skipper Michael Lenko has been out on the water since childhood. He has a great interest in everything that floats, such as sailing dinghies, larger sailing yachts, motorboats and more. His interest in continous training has been just as great which is why he took recreational boating certificates from various countries in Europe and last but not least from Sweden. In addition, he holds the necessary professional qualifications and certificates from the Swedish Transportation Agency that are required to operate our boats with passengers.
The boat mainly used is named “Berndt”, a Finnish-built Buster Magnum powered by a Yamaha outboard engine. This combination is renowned for its seaworthiness and performance. Regular maintenance and meticulous care of the vessel are a matter of course, and all necessary safety equipment is on board to ensure the safety of our passengers.
“Mimi” is a Highfield Ocean Master RIB with an aluminium hull. With its length of only 4.90 metres it is safe and easy to drive, while being very capable even in tougher conditions. The same model, for example, passed the ”Round Ireland Challenge” 2013, and our boat was used for a period by Team SCA – the first all-female team in the Volvo Ocean Race.
